Happy February!It seems like almost all the good summer camps are opening for registration this week. This is a put-it-on-your-calendar and get-to-your-computer-early type situation for families with young ones. Doesn’t this seem crazy early?! Shubenacadie Sam (Canada’s Punxsutawney Phil) -- I was completely oblivious to the fact that we had our own Groundhog -- apparently saw her shadow back on February 2nd -- as did Phil, if you needed further evidence -- so we’ve got more winter in store! Well, cheers to Sam, Phil, and the scientific process. We can think about the summer a little later! I’m personally hoping for a massive dump of snow, all across Alberta; and some consistent -10C to keep it around for a while would be welcome too. Don’t hate me – just get out and enjoy Lansdowne’s sledding hill, rinks (we have two!), and our local skiing. Summer will be here soon enough, but it feels like the winter fun has just started.
