Hello Lansdowne! Our family of four moved to Lansdowne 5 years ago this weekend. Before moving here we lived north of the river in a little 2 story house and when it was time for us to make a move, we had friends recommend the neighbourhood of Lansdowne and so we came to check it out. After walking in the field and down into the ravine and then playing at the playground, we felt very at home here and we narrowed our search to only Lansdowne! We absolutely love the neighbourhood for so many reasons, we love the outdoor opportunities it provides, Tyrn is able to bike commute year round, Cora & Cohen are excelling at Lansdowne school and we love the community support that we feel in Lansdowne every day. It reminds me of the close knit communities in rural Alberta that I grew up in, which is pretty special in the city! I have always been involved with the communities that we have lived in and signed up as one of the Event Coordinators for the league 3 years ago. I love bringing our community together through fun events that help make our awesome neighbourhood even better. Although event planning has been interesting and at times frustrating through the pandemic, our events team worked hard to continue to offer events our community could safely enjoy and are excited to continue to do so now that we can come together again!
